A break with the past

I have made my blog open to all once more, and that means that previous posts can be read by anyone.

I could easily have chosen to delete them all, but I don't want to. Pretentious as it will inevitably sound, they were an essential part of my formation and growing-up - which is not yet complete, but I'm getting there!

Anyway, from now on, I'm going to try and be a bit less... teenage.

I've added a fair few links: Between East and West, which is a blog I really like by Ala Abbas, and Ariane Sherine's blog. Ariane's is a lot more light-hearted than Ala's on the whole (well, she is a comedy writer), but they're both excellent writers.

I hope to join that particular 'A'-club someday by becoming a skilled (and read) writer myself! At the moment, I'm stuck with addressing you, my purely fantastical audience.


Well, this does make me feel a bit better than all my recent future-based panic, so... I'll try and keep it up!
